iZotope releases Neutron mixing plug-in

iZotope has announced that its latest mixing plug-in, Neutron, is now available from today.

The new plug-in follows the release of the audio processing specialists’ free Neutrino effects plug-in earlier in September.

Neutron’s Track Assistant saves time by listening to a user’s audio and recommending custom starting points for a track. The analysis intelligence within Neutron allows Track Assistant to automatically detect instruments, recommend the placement of EQ nodes, and set optimal settings for other modules.

The new Masking Meter can help to visually identify frequency collisions between instruments, allowing the user to tweak each track so it sits better in the mix. Optimised for mixing, this can be used on dozens of tracks to carve away muddiness and reveal new sonic possibilities in mixes.

According to the company, Neutron can also:

  • Automatically detect different instruments and then apply the spectral shaping technology to provide subtle clarity and balance to each track.
  • Create the ‘perfect’ mix with five essential mixing processors integrated into one CPU-efficient channel strip
  • Utilise Surround Support [Advanced Only] for audio post professionals that need to enhance the audio for picture experience.
  • Make use of individual plugins [Advanced Only] available for the Equaliser, Compressor, Transient Shaper, and Exciter.

iZotope Neutron Standard and Advanced are being released with introductory savings of up to 20%, with savings of up to 60% for existing iZotope users.
