Jory Prum

Audio engineer Jory Prum, known for his work on more than 100 video games, has died at the age of 41 following a motorcycle accident, Eurogamer has reported.

Throughout his career, Prum recorded voice overs, music and orchestral scores for top titles such as LucasArts’ Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic and Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead.

He also had stints at Electronic Arts and Maxis during the making of Sim City 4 and The Sims 2, before joining Double Fine Games as part of the Brutal Legend team.

His talent wasn’t just limited to games, however. Through his own full-service audio production facility in Fairfax, California, Prum also contributed to movies such as Lost in Translation and Adaptation, and was a sound designer on For the Birds, the Oscar-winning short film from Pixar.
