Mackie announces Master Fader v2.0 for DL Series mixers

Mackie has released Master Fader v2.0, the primary control app for the DL Series mixers.

Master Fader v2.0, which is available now as a free download, offers new features introduced as a direct result of customer feedback. As the new range of mixers are completely software controlled via iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, Mackie can add new features through a simple app update.

“Master Fader v2.0 is all about increased control and workflow improvement,” said Ben Olswang, Mackie product manager. “We are very excited to add many of the great features you have been requesting, all at zero cost to the user.”

The app now includes input channel and aux send linking, which are ideal for easily controlling stereo inputs sources like keyboards or when using in-ear monitors, as well as new mute groups and view groups aimed at users desiring customisable control of their work surface. Also, the new Quick Access Panel provide instant access to important controls without taking up too much room on screen.

The major features of Master Fader v2.0 are as follows:

– Input channel linking
– Aux send channel linking
– Mute groups
– View groups
– Pre-DSP aux source
– Quick access panel
– Other updates include
– Improved compressor/limiter graph UI
– Option for independent channel aux mute for each aux send
– Main mute
– Other navigation enhancements
– iOS7 Support

Workflow updates such as channel/aux linking and access to mute/view groups are also available with the new version of Mackie’s My Fader control app, designed for iPhone and iPod touch.
