Martin Rushent

British record producer Martin Rushent has sadly died at the age of 63, The Independent has reported.

Best know for his work with The Human League, Rushent got his start in the business in the early ‘70s working on recordings for T.Rex and Fleetwood Mac. However, he made his real mark on the industry in the advent of the UK punk movement when he became the producer of choice for seminal bands like the Buzzcocks, XTC and The Stranglers.

Rushent produced the Human League’s most known album Dare, which contained the hit Don’t You Want Me?.
