METAlliance to hold immersive recording workshop at Hollywood’s Capitol Studios

The METAlliance (Music Engineering and Technical Alliance) is presenting its 2018 immersive recording workshop from 10-11 March at Capitol Studios in Hollywood.

The event comes off the back of a sold-out weekend at Avatar Studios in NYC following AES 2017.

"In Session with The Guys" attendees will participate and interact with the METAlliance founders in live recording and mixing sessions.

Previous METAlliance Academy events in Hollywood and New York City have covered many aspects of recording from mic technique and recording basic tracks to critical listening and advanced mixing. "These are real sessions and we are making real records," commented co-founder Al Schmitt. "We love working very closely with a diverse group of students, pros, educators and recording beginners."

Established in 2005, the METAlliance was founded by award-winning audio engineers and producers Chuck Ainlay, Ed Cherney, Frank Filipetti, George Massenburg, Elliot Scheiner, Al Schmitt, and the late Phil Ramone.

This upcoming event will offer attendees the opportunity to learn recording techniques from the craftsmen who founded the METAlliance. Every attendee will participate in four sessions, each designed to provide different experiences in the recording process and led by the founding members.

Amenities include lunch and giveaways, and space is said to be very limited. For more information and to register visit the METAlliance at their website, or on Facebook here.
