Miloco adds London, Berlin, Chile studios

Estudio Del Sur in Chile, Freudenhaus Studio in Berlin and The Great Escape Studio in London have joined Miloco’s studio directory.

Estudio Del Sur (main image) is the first South American recording studio to come under Miloco. The residential studio is located in the heart of the country’s Central Valley, just an hour away from downtown Santiago and 40 minutes from Santiago’s international airport. The control room is centred around a 56-channel SSL XL 9000 K console along with a Pro Tools HDX rig running Apogee Symphony convertors (56 inputs/56 outputs). The recording rooms feature a Steinway Model B piano, a Hammond and Leslie and a range of other instruments.

Freudenhaus Studio (pictured, above), owned by producer and engineer Patrik Majer, has become the third German partner studio in the Miloco recording studio directory. Patrik’s recording and mixing studio is located in the centre of Berlin and has a main control room and programming suite. Freudenhaus Studio has a Solid State Logic Duality console, which is surrounded by outboard racks stacked with a team of compressors, equalisers and reverb units such as Helios, EAR, Manley, EMT, Lexicon and AMS.

The Great Escape Studio (pictured, above) can now also be booked through Miloco. The programming and writing studio, part of Shoreditch complex The Premises, was designed by writer/producer/engineer Alex ‘Cores’ Hayes, and has a naturally-lit control room and a vocal booth equipped with remote DAW control. Some of the gear highlights include the Sony C800G microphone, a Neve 1073DPA, a UA 1176LN and a Lavry Blue AD/DA converter. A 36-fader Avid control surface provides control over the Pro Tools HD 10/11 and Logic Pro 9/X DAWs. These are complemented by a selection of FX and instrument plugins.
