Miloco partners with London’s Studio Mute

Miloco has recently joined forces with Studio Mute, a new studio for Mute Records in Hammersmith, west London that serves as a writing, recording, mixing and mastering space.

Acoustician Nick Whitaker designed the room, maintaining some natural light to give an open feel. The isolated space exists within Mute HQ and houses Mute’s synth collection.

Studio Mute opened its doors in early 2015 after being built by the team at Miloco Builds. At the heart of the studio is an SSL Matrix console which doubles as a control surface.

A patchbay connects the studio’s various outboard gear and is designed to be easily accessible, helping to promote a focused and ergonomic workflow during sessions.

The studio hosts a hand-picked selection of vintage analogue synths and drum machines that are integrated into the modern studio setup via Kenton converters.
