Molinare bags Emmy nominations for ‘The Bible’ miniseries

Post production house Molinare has received two 2013 Emmy nominations (Outstanding Sound Mixing and Outstanding Sound Editing) for The Bible miniseries.

The awards, which honour the best work in television from the past year, have recognised the work of six of Molinare’s audio team responsible for the show’s sound quality. In addition, the series, which was fully post produced at Molinare, has also been nominated in the Outstanding Mini-Series or Movie category.

The nominations come not long after Molinare unveiled its newly refurbished dubbing theatres, which have made it the only audio post production facility of its kind in Soho, London.

The Emmy-nominated Molinare audio team includes Dan Johnson and Scott Jones, re-recording mixers; Jeremy Price, sound effects editor; Jamie Caple, supervising dialogue editor; Stefano Marchetti, ADR editor; and Marc Lawes, supervising sound effects editor.

Julie Parmenter, Molinare MD, commented: “I’m so proud and honoured that our audio team has been nominated for its expertise at such a coveted award ceremony in the US. We are also delighted that the production itself has been nominated too – having worked so closely with the production team over the past 12 months, this is a true testament to everyone’s hard work and passion for the project. The recent investment into our audio suites, along with our outstanding sound team, will continue to give the film and broadcasting industry the very best post-technology available in Soho."

Also, in the Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One Hour) category, Ronan Hill is up for another Emmy Award for his work on Game of Thrones. Hill was interviewed by Audio Pro International back in March about his role as production sound mixer for the hit TV series. You can read the article here.

The Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday September 22nd in Los Angeles. For more information on the Awards, including the full list of nominees click here.
