Mu Wiltshire

It is with great sadness that the family of HHB Communications founding member Muriel (Mu) Wiltshire has announced the news of her passing on 5 February.

Wiltshire was the mother of HHB MD Ian Jones and a shareholder since the company was started in 1976. She served numerous roles at HHB and was a company director for many years. Wiltshire was also HHB’s first accountant/bookkeeper and retained the role until her retirement from day to day activities in 1989.

During her years with the London-based pro-audio technology supplier, Wiltshire was very active in attending shows and other industry events. She will be remembered as a gracious woman who welcomed friends and customers with a cup of tea and was known for making late-night meals for crew members after a gig. It is her kindness and friendly demeanour that will be remembered most by the many people in the industry who made her acquaintance.

Mu met her late husband Tony Wiltshire on a walking holiday in the Lake District and the couple were married at the Chelsea Registry Office in 1988. Family life was very important to them both, and they enjoyed spending time with Mu’s three children from her first marriage – Caroline, Fraser and Ian – and their grandchildren Jasmine and Vivien. Together they were very active in the HHB family business, with Tony serving as HHB’s company secretary from 1989 until his death in 2009.

Wiltshire passed away peacefully at her care home. Her funeral service will take place on Monday 23 February at 11am at St Mary and All Saints Church, Windsor End, Beaconsfield, Bucks, HP9 2JW.

Only family flowers are being requested, but donations in lieu to the Alzheimer’s Society may be sent to: Arnold Funeral Service Ltd., 32 Gregories Road, Beaconsfield, Bucks HP9 1HQ.
