NAMM 2012: CAD Audio to reveal updated E300S microphone

Ohio-based microphone manufacturer, CAD Audio, are to introduce a new and updated version of their classic E300 mic.

The E300S multi-pattern large diaphragm condenser mic, part of the Equitek S series, will be formally revealed at the Winter NAMM 2012 show taking place in Anaheim, California between January 19th and 22nd.

The updated condenser mic now features a 1.1 inch 24K gold sputtered externally biased triple pattern (Cardioid, Omnidirectional and Figure-of-Eight patterns) dual-diaphragm condenser capsule. It is hand dampened to ensure consistent frequency response.

The E300S also includes a regulated bypass voltage generator. This enhances the output sensitivity. In addition to this, the mic also boasts a sophisticated laser-trimmed op-amp circuit. This provides more efficient management of fast transients. It also has an open circuit architecture design.

The E300s, considered by CAD an ideal studio and live-sound mic, also has a 20dB pad and a high-pass filter with a sensitivity of 135Hz, 6dB/oct.

Furthermore, the mic is also fitted with an auto power shut-off feature and comes with rechargeable 9V hydride batteries. The batteries provide up to 6 hours of use allowing you to use the E300S remotely, if so desired.

The E300S along with other CAD microphones will be viewable at NAMM 2012 at Booth No. 6632 in Hall A.
