NAMM 2013: Midas displaying entire PRO Series

Midas will showcase its entire PRO Series of mixing desks at the NAMM Show this week.

This will be the first time the whole range has been seen together on America’s west coast.

Midas brand development manager, Richard Ferriday, commented: “We look forward to welcoming our American audiophile friends to booth B 5740 at NAMM, where we will have our product range hooked up to audio and ready to go. Visitors are invited to play with and listen to the consoles, Jay Easley, Kyle Chirnside and I will be on hand to answer questions, and we’re confident that everyone who attends will enjoy the experience.”

The company launched the smallest of its PRO Series — the award winning PRO1 (pictured) — at InfoComm in June 2012, which was followed by its European debut at PLASA in September. The PRO1 features an all-new, lightweight aluminium frame and is the first stand-alone Midas digital console.

It is also just over one year since the launch of the PRO2 and PRO2C.

“When we launched PRO2/C, we knew we were offering a fantastic package – high quality, competitive pricing and great sound," added Ferriday. “However, we didn’t anticipate the speed with which the industry has embraced the innovative, unique workflow, and advanced navigation features we offer.

"I’m happy to say that we have now cleared the backlog of orders, and customers no longer have to wait to enjoy the superb performance of our sample-synchronous technology, for no more money than an ordinary console.”

In the past year Midas’ PRO desks have been used for a number of festivals and tours, including the BT Live Concerts at Hyde Park held during the Olympic Games, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds World tour, Florence and The Machine and Evanescence, as well as The Queen’s Jubilee concert and the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo.
