PRO SOUND AWARDS: Focusrite backs Studio category

Studio equipment developer Focusrite is the latest big-name brand to join the Pro Sound Awards sponsor list.

The company will sponsor the three awards in the ‘Studio’ segment of the event: Engineer of the Year, Recording Production of the Year and Studio of the Year.

Focusrite recently cracked the Top 50 in the firm’s second year on The Sunday Times‘ round-up of best small companies to work for. Last year, it ranked number 68 on the Top 100 list, but leapt to 44th position in 2013.

Phil Dudderidge, chairman of Focusrite, commented: “We strive to make Focusrite the best company to work for for each and every employee. That means plenty of opportunity for career development, an inspiring work environment, and the occasional party too!"

The Awards, which take place at Ministry of Sound in London on September 19th 2013, will cover the full spectrum of pro audio, recognising excellence in the Live Sound, Studio, Installation and Broadcast sectors, along with special awards for Rising Star, Marketing Campaign/Initiative of the Year, Grand Prix and Lifetime Achievement.

Sennheiser, Digico and Fineline Media Finance are already on board as sponsors.

The lobbying period for the awards is already underway, and will remain open until the end of May.

More details about categories and the nomination process is available on the lobbying page of the Pro Sound Awards website.

Early bird tickets are currently available for just £30. For more information contact sarah.harris@intentmedia.co.uk.
