PRO SOUND AWARDS: How to win a Live/Touring award

The lobbying period for the Pro Sound Awards remains open until the end of May, but we still need your ideas and nominations.

The Awards – sponsored by Sennheiser, Digico, Focusrite Novation, Fineline Media Finance and Martin Audio – will be held at Ministry of Sound on September 19th 2013.

The event recognises excellence in the Live/Touring, Studio, Installed Sound and Broadcast Audio sectors, and will also feature special awards for Rising Star, Marketing Campaign/Initiative of the Year, Grand Prix and Lifetime Achievement.

The three awards in the Live/Touring category are sure to be hotly contested, so here’s how to get involved with the lobbying process:

Who is eligible?

Engineer of the Year – Any engineer working in a touring, theatre or one-off event environment who has demonstrated exemplary contribution or performance.

Tour Sound Production – Any PA/rental company that has shown outstanding work in a live production (theatre, tour, one-off event, festival).

After-Sales Support – Any equipment supplier, distributor or reseller that has demonstrated exceptional support following a major gear purchase or production project.

To lobby, send a short pitch up to 300 words for each award to prosoundawards@intentmedia.co.uk.

All nominations should apply to events/projects between September 9th 2012 and May 31st 2013 – when lobbying closes – and participants are welcome to nominate themselves.

Provide as much factual information as possible – data and evidence of notable successes are encouraged – and up to three hotlinks to relevant material online can also be provided.

Based on the email nominations, the Pro Sound Awards team will create a list of finalists for each category by looking at the performance of the nominated companies/people over the past year, as well as the information provided by the lobbying emails.

A full list of award categories, details of eligibility and other useful information is available on the Pro Sound Awards website here.

Early bird tickets are currently available for the event for just £30. For more information contact sarah.harris@intentmedia.co.uk, or for details on sponsorship opportunities, contact ryan.odonnell@intentmedia.co.uk or nick.beck@intentmedia.co.uk.
