Schertler now shipping LaFaro Deluxe

Swiss manufacturer Schertler has announced it is now shipping LaFaro, the latest in its Deluxe range of amp systems.

The LaFaro is designed for use with the double bass and should provide users with create clear low frequencies and a natural sounding mid-range.

Named after the jazz bass musician Scott LaFaro, this Deluxe amplification system features a two-channel 280W bi-amplified combination along with new hi-end speakers and an 8” woofer complete with long linear extension.

A 1” tweeter helps with clarity whilst a selection of pickups and microphones can be connected to LaFaro’s two input channels via a Class A preamp with both channels featuring separate gain control and 4-band EQ with dedicated resonance filters.

48V phantom power is provided on both channels and10V phantom power is also available for the alternative High Z/STAT input.

Three separate DI outputs, one per channel and one for the master section, allows users to connect to a range of mixing desks, PA systems and effects units and further flexibility is offered by the auxiliary output, insert and line in/effect return on the master section.
