Sennheiser embarks upon Pursuit of Perfect Sound at PLASA 2012

Sennheiser Group arrived at Earls Court for PLASA 2012 with a statement of intent, as it embarks upon its Pursuit of Perfect Sound.

“We believe that the purer and more intense a sound is, the greater the emotional response it produces in the listener,” said Phil Massey, Sennheiser UK’s general manager. “This bringing together of science and emotion is why we strive to make the very best equipment possible. By providing Sennheiser users with perfect sound, they get the most rewarding experience from it.”

In line with the Pursuit of Perfect Sound, Sennheiser Group continues to develop and invest in digital technologies, most recently highlighted with the launch of the flagship 9000 Series digital wireless microphone system at IBC 2012.

This ‘pursuit’ has been driven by last year’s adoption of a new global organisational structure, which saw Daniel and Andreas Sennheiser appointed to the Executive Management Board of the Sennheiser Group. The restructure resulted in Gerry Forde immediately joining Sennheiser UK as director of Sales and Marketing – Pro and Install.

Sennheiser UK has also added two new additions to its portfolio of distributed brands in the form of Avalon and Nagra.

With the exception of the 9000 Series, this year’s Sennheiser stand will not feature any products. However, a selection the company’s professional audio solutions will be on show in the Piccadilly and Mayfair demo rooms, with demonstrations taking place on the hour, every hour during show opening times, while technical staff are on hand to discuss any questions. Also on display there will be a wide range of Sennheiser and Neumann microphones, as well as products from its distributed brands, including APart Audio, DAS Audio, K-array and RANE.

“The simplicity of our stand brings its own impact and reflects our statement,” concluded Massey. “And having the added benefit of a dedicated demo room will enable us to fully demonstrate the benefits of the products we distribute to the UK.”
