Source celebrates API distribution deal at British Grove Studios event

Having recently been appointed as the API distributor for the UK and Ireland, Source Distribution held a press and VIP event at Mark Knopfler’s British Grove Studios in London.

Alongside the Source team were API President Larry Droppa, Director of Sales Dan Zimbelman and Director of Engineering Jeffrey Bork, who gave a presentation about the history of API incorporating its product development and long list of worldwide profile users.

Droppa also unveiled two new products from the JDK 500 series, the V10 microphone preamplifier and the V12 compressor.

The event also saw Howard Jones, Source’s Director of distributed brands, introduce Andy Bensley, the new Pro Audio Product Specialist on the team who went on to host demonstrations of the API 1608 console, 500 series modules and outboard products.

“We were thrilled that Larry, Dan and Jeffrey from API could join us at British Grove, since Studio 2 boasts a 20+ year old API Legacy console that Mark Knopfler purchased from Nashville – and still looks and sounds as fantastic as it did the day it left the factory. The studio itself was the perfect location – both spacious and pristine, and we were hugely grateful for the help that the British Grove team gave us in staging the event.” Said Jones.

“To fill one of London’s premier studios with the cream of the UK recording industry is not an easy task, but Source has the connections and the marketing nous to pull it off.” Says API’s Larry Droppa.

“It’s exactly that kind of proactive approach that we’re looking for, and we’re delighted with our choice of new distributor.”
