The Warehouse to host Allen & Heath dLive demo

The Warehouse Sound Services is teaming up with Audio-Technica, exclusive UK Allen & Heath distributor, for a demonstration of the manufacturer’s dLive digital mixing system.

The free event will take place at the rental firm’s Glasgow Branch on 11 November from 11am, enabling members of the live audio industry to see the system in action.

The Warehouse is the only Scottish supplier of the new desk, which was first announced earlier this year.

The showcase will be hosted by Audio-Technica’s new live sound and touring ambassador Ben Hammond (also FOH Engineer for Ugly Kid Joe, You Me At Six, Devin Townsend Project, Skid Row, While She Sleeps, We Are The Ocean), who will spearhead the dLive training and demonstration for the customers and engineers in attendance.

The system is designed for use in the touring, festival and installation sectors and promises flexible architecture, an FPGA processing core and an array of expansion, control and networking options alongside the Harmony user interface with gesture control.

“The new dLive mixing system is an incredibly exciting new development from Allen & Heath – by far the most powerful live mixer they have ever created,” Hammond commented. “So I’m really pleased to be in a position to demonstrate all it can do to other working engineers over the coming months.”

Janet Murray, director at The Warehouse, added: “The capabilities of the mixing system are vast! dLive is equally at home in fixed installations, such as intimate theatre settings, as it is at festivals and big touring shows. It has all the processing tools and power that top level engineers would and also has both the flexibility and networkability to cater for any application. Not only that, it has an extremely intuitive user interface and an extremely fast workflow.”
