Two more Miloco studios in France and Brazil

Miloco has added two new studios to its growing roster of international facilities.

Le Manoir de Léon (main picture) is a large residential recording studio located in the Landes Forest on France’s south west coast, between Biarritz and Bordeaux. Situated on a large tract of private land, the complex is made up of three buildings: two accommodation options and the studio itself.

Purpose designed and built as a recording studio, Le Manoir boasts an ‘outstanding’ acoustic design, carried out by Christian Malcurt, with ‘perfect’ isolation that allows recording around the clock.

The studio is made up of the main live recording room, three isolation booths and a spacious control room. The live room is complete with a comprehensive list of backline, including a Bösendorfer grand piano. The control room is based around a 48-input Neve 8128 and Pro Tools HD with ATC 5 way custom monitors, Genelecs and Yamaha NS-10’s.

Artist accommodation is also on site, spread across two houses: ‘Le Manoir’, an 18th Century manor house with nine bedrooms, and ‘La Longère’ a separate two-bedroom building – when combined there is enough room for 22 people to stay. The complex also offers its own large dining room, living room, and swimming pool for recreation. An optional catering service can be organised for an additional cost.

Estúdio Eiffel (pictured, above) is a brand new facility in São Paulo, making it Miloco’s second partner studio in Brazil.

Located in the historic neighbourhood of Santo André in greater São Paulo – 40 minutes drive from the city centre – Estúdio Eiffel was purpose-built as a studio by owner and producer Marco Antonio Esteves with the aim of developing artist projects with the highest sound quality.

With this in mind he enlisted designer and architect Jorge Suwazono for the construction, and engineer Adalbert Baggio for the acoustic treatment.

Spread across two floors, the studio is made up of two recording rooms: a spacious tracking room, a control room and vocal booth. Upstairs is reserved for the recreation area, with a kitchen and break room.

The gear spec features brands such as Neumann, Telefunken, Barefoot, Yamaha, Manley, and Maselec and at the heart of the control room sits a brand new SSL Duality Console.
