Allen & Heath iLive installed in Turkmenistan’s iconic TV Tower

An Allen & Heath iLive system has been installed in the conference room of Turkmenistan’s new TV Tower, located in the capital city of Ashgabad.

The 700ft Television Tower, which opened last year, includes a TV and radio studio complex, which caters for six channels, and houses an OB fleet. Furthermore, there is also a revolving restaurant, as well as offices built in the shape of the national emblem — an octagonal star – which is registered with the Guinness World Records as the largest star in Turkmenistan.

The building’s only conference room has a small control room, which required a similarly compact mixing console. Consequently, audio and lighting contractor, Asimetrik, decided upon an iLive-T80 Control Surface and iDR-48 MixRack system.

“The tiny control room now has a small mixing system but with enormous features,” commented Mert Kiliccote Asimetrik’s Mert Kiliccote. “iLive more than caters for the requirements of the application and will grow with the building as facilities develop.”
