AMI reveals Rising Star Award shortlist

Here at Audio Media International we have been searching for the biggest upcoming star of the pro-audio world and have seen submissions from a range of top talent in engineering, production, sound design and more. We have been carefully reviewing the nominations and we are now ready to reveal our shortlist of the ten worthy individuals who will vie for the honour of taking home the Rising Star award at this year’s Pro Sound Awards. 

Our ten candidates are…

Stuart Allen-Hynd

Allen-Hynd currently works at Soho-based post-production facility Jungle on projects for Mercedes, FIFA and Acer with stars like Kiefer Sutherland, Pharrell Williams and Brian Cox.

Dean Cross

A freelance engineer, Cross has tackled projects such as FOH at Cowley Road Carnival, Oxford’s Truck Festival and Nocturne Festival for artists including Van Morrison, Skindred and Newton Faulkner.

Andy Egerton

Egerton has made an impact on the live scene with his work as a monitor engineer for The Wombats, The Maccabees, and currently Mumford & Sons.

Stanley Gabriel

Gabriel has seen freelance work for artists including Kate Bush and Ladyhawke and on TV shows such as Fresh Meat and Poirot, before joining Spitfire Audio as production director.

Steve Goodison

Operating out of Old Pig Farm recording studio in Sheffield, Goodison has tackled projects projects including FOH for New City Kings and recording with The Drink and Dead English Gentlemen.

Jonas Andreas Jensen

Award-winning Danish-native Jensen moved from freelance success to Sony Creative Service Group London where he works as a sound designer on its Project Morpheus Virtual Reality headset.

Riley MacIntyre

MacIntyre travelled across the Pacific to become an assistant engineer for producer Paul Epworth at The Church Studios in London, where he has worked on projects with Adele, U2 and Band Aid.

Zoe Martin

FOH and monitor sound engineer Martin currently works with Bonobo, Maverick Sabre and The Radiophonic Workshop, as well as teaching at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Brighton.

Eric Milos

Milos is the current owner of Clear Lake Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California, which he acquired at the age of just 24.

Sam Turner

One half of audio production partnership SoundQuake in South Wales, Turner has taken on advertising projects for Mercedes, Only Boys Aloud, ESTRONS, Paint Happy and Fireroad.
