Audiologic recruits Ben Spurgeon as applications support engineer

AV equipment provider Audiologic has appointed Ben Spurgeon to the position of application support engineer.

Spurgeon joins the company from Sound Technology and will be working alongside existing engineer Yavor ‘Max’ Yanakiev to strengthen the team in response to rising demand for in-house and on-site support from the company’s growing customer base.

Spurgeon has varied experience in AV system design and installation in a wide variety of settings. A specialist in digital processing systems, with an extensive knowledge of audio over IP, he holds a host of professional certifications including Dante Level 2. This particular certification coincides with Audiologic’s recent selection as an approved reseller for Audinate Dante Domain Manager software.

“Ben possesses precisely the kind of expertise essential to support our customers in the often complex and challenging world of contemporary AV installation,” said Andy Lewis, sales and marketing director at Audiologic. “He has worked on schemes of all types and sizes and the fact that he is a sought-after visiting lecturer tells you all you need to know about his credentials! He will add another dimension to the excellent work already being carried out by Max Yanakiev, joining a team with an ever-increasing capacity to provide our customers with top-flight service and further sharpening our competitive edge."

Commenting on his new role, Spurgeon added: “I’m hugely excited to be joining the Audiologic team at such an important time for the company. My background in system design and technical roles within the industry meant that this position really appealed to me, giving me the opportunity to further expand and develop my skills through access to Audiologic’s top tier product portfolio.

“With our new demonstration and training space nearing completion – and looking brilliant! – I’m really looking forward to planning and conducting the training courses we’ll be running as of early 2018.”
