Berklee to present ‘The Future of Music’ at Tileyard tomorrow

Berklee Online at Berklee College of Music is heading to London music hub Tileyard Studios tomorrow to present ‘The Future of Music,’ a pair of interactive panel sessions on two key music industry sectors: Live and Sync.

Both sessions will bring together industry professionals working within each field to discuss a number of current standards, themes, tools and strategy, along with their own personal views and experiences that they’ve learned throughout their careers.

The event takes place at the internationally renowned facility in Kings Cross on Wednesday 24 May, and runs from 4pm-8pm.

Panel 1, ‘Contemporary Trends in Publishing & Sync’ (4:30pm – 5:45 pm), will be chaired by Ru Hollier of Metropolis, and made up of Matthew Lawrenson at DOLCE/Goldstein; Roy Lidstone-Jackson at A&G Sync; Rosie Hill at Sentric; Phylicia Chong at Secret Road; and Harriet Moss at Manners Mcdade.

The second panel session, ‘Live Sector Revue: UK Festivals & Touring’ (6pm – 7:15pm) will be chaired by IQ Magazine news editor Jon Chapple, and features Bev Burton at Killer Bee; Claire Courtney at Earth Agency; David Manders at Liquid Management; and Karma Bertelsen at Kili Live.

“We’ve had the pleasure of teaching some of the UK’s most prominent musicians and producers, including Fraser T. Smith, who won a Grammy award with Adele,” said Berklee Online’s senior director of marketing, Jana Jackson. “Our goal with this UK endeavour is to connect with current and prospective students, as well as potential partners, to help us showcase our online school and how we can positively impact UK musicians’ careers.”

Entrance to both sessions is free, however space is limited. To book your place, click here.
