Genelec to receive Company Of The Year award at 2018 Pro Sound Awards

AMI sister title PSNEurope has revealed that Genelec will receive the Company Of The Year award at the 2018 Pro Sound Awards, which take place on November 22 at London’s Steel Yard.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Finnish studio monitoring specialist continues to set the standard for studios of all shapes and sizes, its iconic products a permanent fixture at some of the world’s finest facilities. However, the Genelec name extends far beyond the confines of the recording studio, with its products becoming an increasingly common feature of large-scale audio installations, including Denmark’s Moesgaard Museum, which is nominated in the Best Installation Project at the 2018 Pro Sound Awards.

Genelec’s managing director Siamäk Naghian commented: “We are delighted and honoured by such wonderful recognition, and would like to dedicate this award to all the passionate audio professionals, business partners and audio societies who have inspired us to continuously push the boundaries and bring new innovations to the audio industry during the last four decades. It is also a tribute to the incredible Genelec team, and I am both proud and extremely grateful for their commitment to making our life more meaningful through their limitless imagination and hard work.”

Earlier this year, PSNEurope was granted an exclusive, in-depth interview with Genelec’s senior executives, which can be read here.

Last week we revealed that L-Acoustics founder and president Christian Heil will receive the Outstanding Contribution Award at the 2018 Pro Sound Awards. You can read what he had to say on the accolade here.
