Installation Europe rebranded as Installation for InfoComm 2012

The international audio, video and lighting integration title, Installation Europe (IE), has undergone a rebranding to Installation in order to better reflect its content.

Installation—which is published by Audio Pro International’s publisher Intent Media—decided to drop the “Europe” suffix in the rebranding since it had been producing coverage from well outside of the continent for a long time, in particular from the Middle East.

The relaunch of the redesigned print magazine as well as the new title has been timed to coincide with the massive InfoComm 2012 industry event which opens today in Las Vegas.

For the Installation editor, Paddy Baker, the change is welcomed indeed.

“For as long as I have been editing the title,” explained Baker, “I’ve had to turn away stories, regardless of quality, simply because they came from the wrong part of the world—or else I had to find excuses to include them.”

The change will now allow the Installation team to build upon their widely respected content from Europe and beyond to encompass all that is interesting to the industry.

“While I expect that European stories will continue to predominate,” added Baker, “we are now reporting on installations, market developments and products that we believe will interest the industry, regardless of where they originate.”
