ISE 2012: Panphonics showcases Sound Shower directional speakers

Finnish speaker manufacturer, Panphonics, demonstrates their Sound Shower directional speakers at the ISE 2012 event in Amsterdam.

According to Panphonics, Sound Shower speakers create a shower of focused sound. This means that high-quality audio can be produced and delivered only to where you want it; thus it reduces disturbance to the surrounding area.

Sound Shower’s functionality means that they are widely used in audio installations as diverse as museums, banks, retail stores, and airports.

The speakers also have a strong sound pressure levels and reproduce clear voice audio even at a low volume This makes it easy for listeners, even in noisy environments, to hear and understand the audio message.

Several speakers can be installed close to one other. Despite this, due to high directivity of the speakers, even when closely placed to one another, different audio messages do not disturb each other.

The Sound Shower speakers are also easy to install. The speakers come with a power supply unit and can be plugged in simply to a standard 3.5mm audio cable. What is more, it also has a USB power out connector to power an external device, such as an MP3 player.

The Sound Shower also features an automatic volume adjustment. This means that the speakers adjust automatically according to the ambient noise level. This, therefore, removes the need for manually adjusting the volume.

Sound Shower directional speakers come in two sizes SSH-60X60 (60x60cm) and SSH-120X20 (120x20cm). Both sizes are ultrathin at 3cm.

They are also available in either black or white as standard colours. Customs colours can be made available on request.
