ISE 2014: Genelec debuts 4010 loudspeaker

Genelec has unveiled 4010, a new addition to the 4000 Series of installation loudspeakers at ISE.

Visitors to Stand 3-C90 are being given the opportunity to hear a working demo of the new model, while Genelec staff are on hand to provide loudspeaker specification and technical advice for various audio installations.

Featuring class D amplifiers and proprietary drivers, the 4010 offers a big sound in a small package. It also delivers controlled directivity for acoustically challenging environments, with installation-friendly features such as Phoenix-type connectors – commonly used in the AV industry – Intelligent Signal-Sensing technology (ISS) and a recycled aluminium enclosure.

“With its compact size, the new 4010 loudspeaker extends the potential use of the 4000 Series into installations where smaller enclosure size is either required or desired,” said Lars-Olof Janflod, PR and marketing director at Genelec. “The compact format 4010 is especially useful for discreet installation and seamless integration into interior design schemes – but there is no compromise on performance. This model delivers audio output to the same sonic standard as the 4040, the largest model in the Series.”

The 4000 Series speakers are ideal for music playback in various environments, which makes them a good choice for critical commercial installations.

ISS enables sustainable installations by switching the speaker on and off automatically, depending on the presence of the audio signal.
