Lollapalooza to be live-streamed in 2D/3D on YouTube and no VR headset is required

Lollapalooza kicked off yesterday (2 August) in Chicago, and music fans everywhere can livestream select artist performances in 2D and 3D-VR180 on YouTube and no VR headset or viewer is required.

A dedicated stream on the Red Bull Music YouTube page will broadcast the exclusive VR180 experience across Lollapalooza’s two main stages.

Select VR livestream artist performances include Khalid, Post Malone, Chvrches, James Bay, The Weekend, Portugal The Man, Odesza and more.

The 3D-180 experience will also include contextual augmented reality effects like digital confetti that reacts to the music, and virtual objects that extend into the crowd.

Over 100 artists will be live as part of the 2D webcast, also available on the Red Bull Music YouTube channel — playlisthere

You can watch the 3D livestream using a VR device like Google Cardboard or Daydream View OR, the VR180 live stream will be available on the Red Bull Music YouTube page on desktop and mobile.
