Poland’s Arena Lublin scores with Dynacord, Community system

Arena Lublin, Poland’s new landmark 15,500-capacity football stadium located in the provincial capital of Lublin features a sound system designed and installed by Tommex ?ebrowscy Sp. J.

“We designed the system based on Dynacord electronics with Dante protocol networks and Community R Series loudspeakers,” said Marcin Zimny, sales director of Tommex. “It’s a combination that gives us outstanding audio quality and proven reliability.”

The control centre can be found in the commentary room, equipped with a Dynacord CMS 1600 mixer and Dell PC. Operating on an IRIS-Net network, full control of the audio system is provided from this location.

Audio monitoring is handled by Genelec 6010A monitors and headphones; commentary is carried out via Sennheiser radio mics with a Sabine digital feedback eliminator. A Denon CD/MP3 player provides an audio source for recorded material.

There are two separate amp rooms – these house the Dynacord P64 digital audio matrix manager units and the DPM 8016 digital matrix manager, which incorporates the redundant network system. The setup is powered by Dynacord DSA 8410 and DSA 8405 amplifiers, fitted with RCM 810 IRIS-net modules. Additional DSA 8405 amplifiers with DCS offer immediate backup if required.

The main stadium sound system comprises 74 Community R Series loudspeakers. “In addition to speech and music quality and all-weather reliability, R Series provides accurate dispersion with a wide range of throw and pattern options,” commented Zimny. “For Arena Lublin we achieved exceptionally even coverage of the complete 360° seating with fifty-two R.5-94s, twenty R.5-66s and two R2-474s.”

Tommex also supplied the audio for rooms and corridors within the arena with 142 loudspeakers. This included Community’s DS8 surface-mount and D4 ceiling loudspeakers. The internal system can be locally operated by two Dynacord wall-mounted mixer/controllers.

“The Arena Lublin system delivers the experience fans would expect from a new world-class facility,” concluded Zimny. “Intelligibility is easily maintained above the roar of the crowd, delivering entertainment and safety. With an outstanding venue and clear audio, they can really enjoy football.”
