Powersoft launches new Ottocanali power amplifiers

Powersoft has expanded its Ottocanali power amp range with three new high-performance eight-channel models for fixed installations.

Ottocanali 4K4, Ottocanali 8K4 and Ottocanali 12K4 have been designed to work at high or low impedance, are capable of running at two ohms as a standard operational parameter and can power 70V and 100V distributed lines without the need for external transformers. As a result of the company’s unique approach to Class D amplification, the amplifiers offer high output power – up to 12,000 Watts over eight channels for the largest model – as well as high sound quality.

Each model in this series features two universal switch mode power supplies with PFC (Power Factor Correction) – each independently powering a set of four channels. In addition, patented SRM (Smart Rails Management) technology maximises the efficiency of the system, greatly reducing the power consumption at any load and in any usage condition.

"In designing the Ottocanali series, we have concentrated on three main features – efficiency, flexibility and reliability," explained Claudio Lastrucci, Powersoft’s R&D director. "The result is a series that minimises power consumption, can be used in a vast array of different applications and can be trusted to perform year after year. A valuable asset for system integrators and one less thing to worry about."

Other models in Powersoft’s installation amplifier offering include the more compact Ottocanali 1204 and the high powered Duecanali units.
