Powersoft targets fixed install growth with new appointment

Powersoft has started 2016 by making ‘an important investment,’ hiring Marc Kocks as its new business development manager for the EMEA region’s fixed install market.

With a strong background in pro-audio – and the fixed install sector in particular – Kocks (pictured, right) is well qualified to take on his new role, according to the company. Having been involved in selling Powersoft amplifiers while in charge of the manufacturer’s Dutch distributor, he is not only familiar with the products and the team, but also international consultants and system integrators.

“Marc was looking for a new opportunity to apply his vast experience in install projects, by working for a company with an international exposure," said Powersoft’s sales and marketing director Luca Giorgi (pictured, left). "At the same time, we were planning to create a stronger team capable of communicating Powersoft’s unique selling points more efficiently with the major players in the fixed install market; it was a fortunate that we managed to click the two needs together.”

Kocks added: “Based on my experience in recent years Powersoft’s products, team and technologies are among the most professional and advanced in our industry. I am delighted to be part of the team and help build the presence of Powersoft products and technologies in the international fixed installation market.”

Territorially, his role will be focused across EMEA, where he will coordinate with Powersoft’s existing sales organisation as well as communicate and cross reference with the firm’s subsidiary in the US.

“We really believe that this strategic appointment will mark another important phase in Powersoft’s growth," Giorgi concluded. "We also envisage that a new application team will be built around Marc’s activities in the near future.”
