Retailer Red Dog Music has acquired Leeds-based pro-audio dealer Production Room, which will become Red Dog’s third UK store, AMI sister title MI Pro has reported.

With two other stores in London and Edinburgh, Red Dog Music will now begin rebranding Production Room’s Leeds showroom, where it will also introduce a full range of musical instruments and equipment, including guitars, keyboards and drums.

Meanwhile, all three stores will expand their pro-audio areas and rebrand them as Production Room.

As part of the acquisition, Paul Germain and Alison Lynch from Production Room will join the Red Dog Music board as sales director and operations director, respectively.

Mike Fletcher will become associate director for the London area and Richard Powell will take the role of associate director for commercial audio, with a remit to develop B2B sales across the country.

Dave Tynan and Richard Lee will continue to manage the Edinburgh and Leeds stores.
