PRO SOUND AWARDS: Two weeks left to lobby

Lobbying for the first ever Pro Sound Awards closes in less than two weeks.

The event, which is so far sponsored by Sennheiser, Digico, Focusrite Novation, Fineline Media Finance, Martin Audio and Sony, will be held at Ministry of Sound on September 19th 2013.

The event recognises excellence in the Live/Touring, Studio, Installed Sound and Broadcast Audio sectors, and will also feature special awards for Rising Star, Marketing Campaign/Initiative of the Year, Grand Prix and Lifetime Achievement.

We’ve already covered how to win a Live Sound/Touring, Studio and Broadcast award, so here’s some more information on the Installed Sound category:

Who is eligible?

Team of the Year: Any specifier, consultancy or installation company showing exemplary work with audio on a commercial project or projects.

Permanent Installation Project: Any permanent installation project featuring significant audio content worthy of wider recognition.

Temporary Installation Project: Any service provider, equipment supplier, distributor or installation team demonstrating outstanding support on, or contribution to, a temporary installation project. Just about any type of contribution made to a project can be considered.

To lobby, send a short pitch up to 300 words for each award to prosoundawards@intentmedia.co.uk. All nominations should apply to events/projects between September 9th 2012 and May 31st 2013 – when lobbying closes – and participants are welcome to nominate themselves.

Provide as much factual information as possible – data and evidence of notable successes are encouraged – and up to three hotlinks to relevant material online can also be provided. Based on the email nominations, the Pro Sound Awards team will create a list of finalists for each category by looking at the performance of the nominated companies/people over the past year, as well as the information provided by the lobbying emails.

A full list of award categories, details of eligibility and other useful information is available on the Pro Sound Awards website here. Early bird tickets are currently available for the event for just £30.
