Rami Wahba wins AMI’s Nugen Post Pack competition

After receiving a flurry of entries from all over the world, we can now reveal Rami Wahba as the winner of our competition for a Nugen Audio Post Pack.

Based in Ashkelon, Israel, Wahba spends most of his time working at The Clinic, his personal recording, mixing and mastering studio in the coastal city, where he offers music production services to young artists in the local area at the start of their careers.

He also works part-time at Sapir College near Sderot, teaching courses in ‘Digital Audio Theory’; ‘Pro Tools Systems’; ‘Sound Design and Audio Editing for Picture’; and ‘Music Mixing Techniques’ and has carried out the role of Foley artist for several Israeli films in the past.

The Post Pack is a collection of audio enhancement and problem-solving tools for broadcast, film and game audio production. It includes true-peak limiting, a comprehensive audio analysis suite, transparent auto-match EQ and three stereo control plug-ins.

The bundle – worth $1,139 in total – consists of the VisLM 2, LM-Correct 2, ISL 2, Stereoizer, SEQ-S, Stereoplacer, Monofilter and Visualizer.

In answer to the question ‘How will winning the Nugen Audio Post Pack help improve your productions?’, Wahba explained how it has become time consuming to come up with the right loudness solution each time when creating multiple versions of masters for US/European digital broadcast, YouTube, Bandcamp etc., and said how VisLM 2 in particular would be a useful addition to his toolkit.

"When I got the email telling me I won the competition, I didn’t believe it! I really wanted Nugen Audio’s Post Pack in order to develop a post production division in my studio. This was great news for me."
