Rycote appoints new chief marketing officer

Microphone windshield manufacturer Rycote has announced the promotion of Richard Hall to the new position of chief marketing officer (CMO), a member of its senior management team.

The company says the appointment represents a firm commitment to a customer-focused approach in its targeting of further national and international growth opportunities.

Hall reports directly to managing director Simon Davies and takes up his post with immediate effect.

He will have primary responsibility for developing and delivering the company’s brand and marketing strategies, and for ensuring that these and the product development process are being actively informed by a clear understanding of customers.

Hall joined Rycote in 2015, and is being promoted from the role of brand and marketing manager. Having previously run a retail business, Richard has more recently worked both with and for the private, public and voluntary sectors, in a variety of roles involving the gathering, interpretation and practical application of market and customer insight.

Managing director, Simon Davies, said: “We are delighted to confirm Richard as our new chief marketing officer at Rycote. He has been brilliant in his role of brand and marketing manager, and brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the management team, that will really help us continue to drive forward our ambitious global growth plans."

“We are passionate about listening at Rycote and, as the industry evolves and customer needs change, listening to our customers and better understanding our markets will be an increasingly important feature in achieving our long-term growth plans,” Hall added. “My role will be to build upon our brand strengths, to grow global brand awareness and to ensure consistent, excellent customer experiences.”
