Stockfisch Records and Pauler Acoustics install Genelec studio monitor

Renowened German record label, Stockfisch Records and Pauler Acoustics mastering studios have installed Genelec’s 8260A studio monitors.

Northeim-based Stockfisch Records—which was founded in 1974 by Günter Pauler—is a record label which was aimed at audiophile fans of guitar-oriented singer-songwriter music. Despite mostly focusing on European artists they also feature a number of musicians from around the globe.

The Genelec 8260A monitors have been installed by the company to provide for mixing and mastering work in the studio.

“After a lot of listening sessions to find a suitable near/midfield-monitor for our Stockfisch Recording Studio,” explained Günter Pauler, founder of Stockfisch Records and Pauler Acoustics, “the Genelec 8260A completely won us over.”

They will also be used for bespoke live recordings in unorthodox settings. This latter application is made even easier thanks to the room calibration possibilities made available by Genelec’s GLM system.

“We will also use the 8260A at our classical recording sessions in concert halls and churches,” Pauler added, “because it is possible to calibrate the monitors for perfect results—even in compromised acoustical environments.”
