TOP TEN: The most popular product launches of NAMM 2016

As the dust settles on another hectic NAMM Show, we thought we’d compile a list of the ten biggest launch stories from this year’s event, ranked in order of hits on the AMI website.

Several companies, such as Radial and Audio-Technica, used the show to unveil a raft of new gear, while others went to California to debut significant updates to popular products and ranges – Digico and Focusrite among them.

And although smaller items such as microphones and headphones make up much of our Top Ten this year, it was the new DC16 control surface from Mackie that really caught the eye, as our summary below shows.

Here’s the full rundown…

1. Mackie launches DC16 control surface

DC16 is designed to add ‘unmatched speed, visibility and customisation’ to the firm’s DL32R digital mixer.

2. Radial releases Dante-enabled DI box

New 500 series preamp (pictured), modular press box and Cat-5 audio snake also revealed in Anaheim.

3. Digico introduces Stealth Core2 upgrade

6. TEC Awards winners revealed

Not a product launch, obviously, but here’s another chance to check out yesterday’s round-up of the 2016 Technical and Creative Achievement honours announced during the show.
