2017 Sound Emmy nominees announced

The nominations for the 69th Annual Emmy Awards for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing have been revealed.

The honourees were announced at the Television Academy’s Wolf Theatre in North Hollywood yesterday by Veep actress Anna Chlumsky, S.W.A.T. star Shemar Moore and Television Academy CEO Hayma Washington.

HBO’s Westworld and NBC’s Saturday Night Live ended up tied for the most nominations overall, with 22 each.

Several programmes have been nominated in both the Sound Editing and Mixing categories, including Planet Earth II (pictured), Stranger Things, Sherlock, Westworld and The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years.

The Emmy Awards ceremony, hosted by Stephen Colbert, will take place the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday 17 September.
