Jungle strengthens sound design engineering team

Jungle, the London facility that handles sound design and music for advertising, promo and broadcast, has promoted three members of its team to new positions.

The move brings the number of engineers at the company to 14.

Lawrence Kendrick (pictured), Culum Simpson and Alex Wilson-Thame have all now joined the firm’s sound design engineering department, where they will work with a variety of broadcast and advertising clients.

All three have been at Jungle since leaving college. Kendrick and Simpson were both previously tracklay and assistant engineers, while Wilson-Thame has moved up from an account handling role.

“Jungle has long been acknowledged as having the most thoroughly trained engineers in the industry. We are committed to providing opportunities for hard working staff and take pride in the fact that not only do we have the best possible team at Jungle, but that our ex-employees now head up the audio departments at some of the UK’s leading post houses and agencies – there can be no better endorsement than that,” said Jungle MD Graham Ebbs.

Jungle has also recruited Athene Parker as new business consultant. Parker has spent more than 17 years in the industry, and has filled executive producing and new business positions in the fields of production, music, post and audio post in the post.

Parker stated: “I have known Graham and some of the senior engineers since I first started in the industry. The level of talent and expertise under Jungle’s roof, along with the company ethos and the way they encourage their staff made it a no brainer when they approached me for the role. The collective desire to move forward makes it an exciting prospect to be a part of.”

Jungle’s decision to grow its workforce follows the extensive refurbishment of its studios at the end of 2013. Click here to read Audio Pro International‘s report on the company’s new-look operation, which was originally published back in November.
