Molinare announces new senior hires and facilities

Film and broadcast post production house Molinare has started the new year off by bolstering both its senior team and its lineup of facilities.

Lesley Marr (pictured) joins as director of operations today (16 January), and will oversee the operational efficiency of Molinare’s technical services, maximise the synergies across all sites in the group and focus on a strategy to support the changing workflow requirements of clients.

Marr has moved to Molinare from Deluxe, where she was COO for Deluxe Media Europe, responsible for the integration of best practice operational workflows across multiple sites, but most recently worked on Deluxe’s transformation programme. Prior to Deluxe, Marr held senior management positions at Sky and Technicolor, and she is a prominent board member of the UK Screen Association and IBC Conference Committee.

“I am incredibly excited about joining Molinare and to be working back in post production – the heart of where the magic happens – at one of the most established facilities in London,” Marr said.

Richard Cradick has also come on board as senior online editor. Cradick joins from Technicolor and has a wealth of experience delivering high-end drama and documentaries on Flame, and has recently worked on The Level, Endeavour, DCI Banks and Black Mirror.

Cradick commented: “I’m very excited to be joining Molinare. They have been at the pinnacle of post production for decades and the opportunity to work with such creative talent is something I’m really looking forward to, both as part of the Online department and the Molinare team as a whole.”

The expansion has also seen the introduction of another Flame suite to meet the increasing demand for 4K – Molinare worked on several 4K and UHD productions in 2016, including The Crown and Captive for Netflix.

Molinare has created six new premium offline suites at its Fouberts Place premises as well. These will be known as the Carnaby Suites, reflecting Molinare’s proximity to the Carnaby area. Additional suites will be introduced and further refurbishment is planned across Molinare’s sites during 2017.

Julie Parmenter, Molinare managing director, stated: “Molinare had a very busy 2016 and it has demonstrated that we need to continue to grow to meet the needs of our expanding client base. I am absolutely delighted that both Lesley and Richard are joining us – they will bring with them a huge amount of experience and creativity, enabling us to extend our client offering even further. We’re very excited about 2017 and the fantastic productions we will be working on.”
