Richmond Studios recruits Geoff Foulkes

London-based Richmond Studio Productions has announced the appointment of Geoff Foulkes as its new development producer.

In his new role, Foulkes will be responsible for identifying production opportunities and strategic partnerships and overseeing the development of new projects.

With an acclaimed background working in music visual production, music videos, live concerts and festivals, Foulkes has previously served as director of programme acquisitions for Warner Vision International, where he worked on a number of major music DVD releases for the likes of the Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Live Aid. His producer credits include ITV at the Festivals, Live at the Carling Reading Festival and concert films for such artists as Paul Weller, Deep Purple, Mark Knopfler and the Spice Girls. Furthermore, his recent production of Monto Python’s 40th Anniversary Royal Albert Hall show ‘Not the Messiah (he’s a very naughty boy)’ was seen in cinemas across the globe prior to release by Sony Pictures.

Toby Alington, Richmond Studios Productions managing director and founder, commented: “The last 12 months have been RSP’s best ever. As well as the annual BRIT’s and MTV EMA’s, we also mixed all the music for The Voice UK, Children in Needs Rocks Manchester, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert and Adele’s Live at the Royal Albert Hall – the best-selling music DVD of 2011. The company continues to expand its production arm with brand-promotion, documentary and music-and-arts multi-camera shoots. Geoff brings a wealth of experience and exceptional contacts within the music and television industries, and I am absolutely delighted to have his energy and experience on board to grow and enhance RSP’s business in the years ahead.”

Foulkes added: Toby and RSP are quite simply the gold standard, delivering world class audio to music television audiences all over the world. I couldn’t be happier to be joining RSP, working with Toby and his team, and bringing yet more success to our corner of South West London.”
