Capital Sound scoops two API awards for Take That?s Progress tour

This year’s PLASA event saw Capital Sound pick up two API awards for its work on Take That’s record-breaking Progress tour.

The company, which has also supplied audio for Take That on previous tours, was recognised in both the Grand Prix and Best Live Sound Event categories. One of the key features of the tour was the deployment of an innovative new sound system, comprising a delay ring system, as opposed to the traditional delay masts usually utilised at outdoor event of such a large scale.

Martin Connolly, project manager on the Progress tour, expressed his delight at picking up two API awards: “It was wonderful to be once again the audio supplier for Take That; and to win two awards from Audio Pro for the tour is also a great honour; it acknowledges the huge amount of work undertaken by the all the team at Capital from design and office personnel to the touring crew at the sharp end.”
