dBTechnologies impress distributors with T12

Italian manufacturer dBTechnologies’ Prosonic distributor convention saw its latest release, the DVA T12, provide the main focus at the two-day forum.

Taking place at its Cologne headquarters prior to this year’s PLASA event, dBTechnologies dedicated the convention to all aspects of understanding, setting up and selling the new line array module.

“T12 is the impressive result of three years’ intensive R&D, and we want to give our distributors as much product knowledge and marketing support as we can, to justify and validate the efforts that have gone into its design,” explained Michael Herweg, managing director of dBTechnologies Germany.

Visitors to the Prosonic convention appeared to be impressed with what they saw. Trausti Ingólfssson from Icelandic distributor, Tonabudin said, “It has been great to learn about how T4 and T12 are compatible, and find out the ideal configurations of the two line arrays. Together with the S30 subwoofers it makes for an amazing system.”

Luis Tavares, of Garrett Audiovisuais in Portugal, was particularly pleased with the latest remote control software. “The great thing with RD-Net is that you can remotely control and monitor the DVA T12 whilst it’s rigged – even during a performance. This is just another of a long list of benefits that will give this great new product a real standing in the market.”

The convention also offered a live listening test, where the DVA T12 and the S30 subwoofer were compared with some of the internationally relevant competitors. Per Oystein Berglund of Njal Hansson AS, Norway commented on the results: “It was always going to be good, with Claudio [Ottani] behind the R&D. The T12 compares incredibly well with brands, which cost considerably more. dBTechnologies is playing on the big stage now – literally.”
