Genelec to exhibit at IBC 2011

Genelec will be showcasing its SE DSP Monitoring System and its 8260A tri-amplified monitors, the flagship model in its 8000 series range.

“These two products have received a great reception from customers,” said Terho Savolainen, marketing manager of Genelec Oy. “Both systems have earned industry awards of which we are very proud, but it is at shows like IBC that we get to hear direct feedback from sound technicians and audio engineers. We are proud to bring both the SE™ DSP and 8260A to an exclusive audience of sound, broadcast and entertainment professionals.”

The SE DSP system utilises the new 10” SE7261A DSP subwoofer in combination with the 8130A digital input active monitors. The system can be set up into all audio configurations, from subwoofer-assisted stereo to multi-channel reference systems.

The GLM.SE software (V1.2 supports Windows 7 and Mac OS X) brings the DSP system together under computer network control. The software control of the SE7261A DSP subwoofer provides all necessary network connections to the host computer and supplies DSP resources for the 8130A digital input loudspeakers through its AES/EBU digital high-pass outputs.

Genelec will also be showcasing its 8260A Series tri-amplified DSP monitors. The system features in audio driver technology integrated into an enclosure design.

“We knew we had a winner when we launched the 8260A but we had no idea how many people would agree with us,” added Savolainen. “The 8260A has swept the board across the awards and its reputation keeps growing. We are grateful that our industry peers agree with our customers who have come to see the 8260A as the leading monitor on the market.”
