Metropolis Group celebrates API award success

This year’s PLASA event saw Metropolis Group pick up the API Studio Initiative award for its live to vinyl recordings.

Metropolis Studios allows artists to cut tracks straight from the mixing console to a vinyl lathe, without the need for tape machines or digital delay.

As an independent recording, mastering and production facility, Metropolis Studios extends its service across the music, film and TV industries.

Metropolis managing director Ian Brenchley, commented on the company’s award success: “We are all elated and really happy that our continuing efforts to innovate have been recognised. The award is held in high regard around here. We are always trying to break the mould and harness all the creativity in the building to further the company so it is very refreshing to be recognised for that.”

He added: “It’s an exceedingly tough market out there and has been for the three years that I have been at Metropolis. Through sheer hard work and determination we have, and continue to grind out results. As a consequence, our graphs have pointed up for three years in a row. We have a lot of grand plans as to how we will continue to build on that and grow the business so watch this space.”
