PLASA confirms line-up for Entech 2011

The international speakers due to appear at Entech 2011 have been confirmed by PLASA.

Taking place over 19-21 July as the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Entech has been Australia’s leading biennial trade show for the live events and installation sectors for 17 years. This year, the co-location of the SMPTE conference and exhibition – a key event for the broadcast, pro audio, audio, visual, lighting, staging and commercial integrations markets – will see three keynote speakers bring their expertise in the lighting, audio and rigging sectors to the event.

Lighting designer Rob Halliday will provide an introduction to lighting programming as well as a discussion on the latest lighting technology. Chris Higgs, from Total Solutions, is an experienced rigging practitioner and consultant who heads up the Total Training operation of the Total Solutions group. Higgs will be presenting sessions focussed on working at height and the safety culture of rigging. Dave Swallow will also be bringing his ‘The Art of Mixing a Show’ seminar to the event.

PLASA’s CEO, Matthew Griffiths added: "We’re pleased to be involved in one of the premium industry events in Australia. We see this alliance as a great opportunity to support the future development of our industry in the Australian and New Zealand regions."
