PLASA Focus set to open in Glasgow

The first PLASA Focus event to visit Glasgow will take place at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow on the 2-3 December 2014, aimed at bringing together audio and lighting experts working at a regional level. The first show in Scotland follows similar events in Leeds, Orlando and Nashville. Here is what you can expect to see:

Sennheiser will be at stand C04 showing products from its distributed brands including the K-Array, D.A.S., Apart, and its own LSP 500 wireless loudspeaker.

Orbital Sound is showing a wide cross-section from its portfolio of international pro-audio brands on stand E01 including the d&b audiotechnik Y-Series range, the new Nemesis UMT-2Di multi-button and MIDI-USB Converter, and the latest range of Flare Audio loudspeakers, on show in Scotland for the first time.

A range of other pro-audio exhibitors will be present, including Bosch, HD Pro Audio, Adam Hall, LMC, Polar Audio, FBT, Apex Acoustics, Adlib, and Miltec.

PLASA is again hosting its Professional Development Programme that will deliver two days of presentations, technical demonstrations and panel discussions, all designed to help visitors build their industry knowledge and improve their skill set. The programme features seminar sessions from Sennheiser, d&b and Soulsound, including ‘Is it pointing in the right direction?’ with Soulsound tutor Justin Grealy and ‘What kind of engineer am I?’ with Joe Burton, FOH sound engineer for The Prodigy and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Event director, James Ashwood, commented: “There’s a strong selection of lighting and audio companies at the Glasgow show – add to that the free to attend two-day seminar programme and PLASA Focus Glasgow looks set to be a great couple of days.”
