SSE opens northern office and warehouse

SSE Audio Group has opened a northern office and warehouse in Bradford with an experienced sales and technical team already established in the area.

The 3,500 sq ft premises is located in the City’s Fieldhead Business Centre, in a prominent position on Listerhills Road, just west of the city centre. The area is recognised as a high tech development area where there has been substantial investment in recent years and is only three miles from the motorway network (M606/M62).

The establishment of a northern base follows the opening of SSE’s new London office and warehouse last year, continuing the policy of making all of the Group’s services available from each of its locations.

“When we opened in London’s Park Royal last year, we were able to bring together the services from our merged and acquired London businesses under one roof and then offer hire, sales, installations and the associated service support from that location, just as we do from our Redditch headquarters. This has proved to be very successful and makes it simple for our customers – they can access everything from whichever location is convenient for them,” said Group managing director, John Penn.

The northern office and warehouse will be run by general manager Nick Bolton, with both Nick and Ryan Thomas taking care of sales and Paul Todd providing technical support. The team have all worked together before and saw the move to SSE as a great opportunity.

Further additions to the team are expected to be announced shortly.

“The three of us have worked together for a considerable time and were looking for an opportunity to realise our ambitions,” said Bolton. “In the live events industry we believe equipment sales and rental has to be fully supported from a service perspective. As soon as we started talking to SSE Audio Group, we saw a fantastic opportunity to join a really well-established business that shared our view of the industry. What’s more SSE were actively looking to expand into the north of England.”
