Ableton announces lineup for Loop Create online event for music makers

Berlin-based Ableton has revealed the lineup for its upcoming Loop Create online event which is set to to place on 26-27 June.

The free interactive event for music makers will feature appearances from award-winning engineer Liz Teutsch, producer and sound artist KMRU and DJ, producer, audio engineer and game industry sound designer A.Fruit.

With a programme built around the central theme of ‘site and sound’, the online event will take a deep dive into how music makers can treat the physical spaces they create in as part of the process, rather than a hurdle to be overcome.

Attendees will get to spend the day with producers and educators from around the music world, giving them the opportunity to learn recording hacks, experiment with new techniques and network with other experts in the industry.

The event will also include an appearance from Dan Keen and Leo Wyatt from Spitfire Audio, who will reveal how a playable LABS instrument can be created by manipulating field recordings.

Along with the Loop Cafe virtual hangout space, Loop Create will also feature a performance from Perera Elsewhere (AKA Sasha Perera), who will be performing with band members Toto Wolf and Oren Gerlitz.

The eight-hour programme begins on 26 June 11am Berlin time and runs twice in a row so that everyone can join in at any time, whatever time zone they’re in.

The only requirements for joining are a computer, an internet connection, and Ableton Live or your preferred DAW. Registration is open until 20 June.
