Antelope Audio begins shipping Orion32 HD interface

Antelope Audio has announced that its Orion32 HD interface, which was unveiled at this year’s NAMM Show back in January, is now available for shipping.

The third member of the Orion32 family features full Pro Tools HD and Native compatibility — along with 64 channels of audio in 192kHz via HDX or USB3 with real time monitoring.

Powered by Antelope’s 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) jitter-management technology, Orion32 HD supports multiple monitor mixes and is compatible with ‘any DAW on the market’. Both HD and USB3 ports are available for simultaneous use, enabling more than one DAW platform to be used and accessed at once.

The integration of Antelope’s Field Gate Array (FPGA) based DSP processing engine means the unit is able to handle tracking and mixing through custom modelled vintage effects in real time. Additionally, the unit – in its slim black housing – does not require an internal fan and takes up a single rack space.

The Orion32 boasts HDX, USB3, MADI, ADAT, and S/PDIF connectivity and 32-in/32-out analogue inputs via DB25. This is in addition to routing and mixing software for Mac and Windows which now features both Antelope’s colour-coded routing matrix and an alternate matrix-style view to simplify routing. It also features movable and resizable panels to help speed up the workflow of multi-screen setups.

The Orion32 HD is shipping now and is priced at $3,495 USD.
