BVE 2018: Zoom debuts F1 portable field recorder

Zoom is showcasing its brand-new F1 Field Recorder this week at the BVE show at the ExCel, London.

Joining the company’s line up of F-series field recorders and H-series handheld recorders, the F1 is a compact two-channel, 24-bit/96kHz device designed for videographers who need to capture professional quality audio.

The F1 attaches on to belts, waistbands or slips into a pocket to easily conceal the recorder, and utilises one-touch buttons functionality.

The unit has two available varieties, the F1-LP and F1-SP. The SP option comes with the SGH-6 Shotgun Mic, while the LP comes with Zoom’s newly engineered LMF-1 Lavalier mic, which connects directly to the F1 and records to a micro SD card.

“The Zoom range of recorders have become the go-to option for broadcasters, producers and videographers when unrivalled quality and portability are essential requirements in source capture,” said HHB director of sales, Martin O’Donnell. “The F1 has a plethora of features that are essential and highly desired, combined with the affordable quality Zoom offers, this makes it a must-have item in any pro audio arsenal.”

The F1-LP and F1-SP are now shipping and are available to view at stand K45 with HHB Communications at BVE 2018 from 27 February – 1 March.
